Created by Elliot "moreblueberries" Davis

A two-player storytelling card game played on opposite sides of a closed door. A TTRPG about brothers in the zombie apocalypse and the final days before one of them turns.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

We Did It! - What's Next?
4 days ago – Sat, Nov 30, 2024 at 02:58:40 PM

The Time We Have is 150% funded!

Thank you so much for your support! Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word and got excited about this game.

Thank you to the team that helped make this game possible—Ripley, Sam, Collin, and B. The game wouldn't be the same without you!

Thank you to the actual play producers & performers who helped showcase the game during our campaign. And thank you to the incredible interviewers who hosted me on their shows.

Thank you to our many guest contributors and stretch goal writers/illustrators (all of whom we're unlocked in overtime!!)

Thank you to my friends and family always for their support and love.

What's Next?

Now we get to make the game! I'll be getting the contributors going on their door cards and refining the manuscript before passing it to Sam for editing. You can expect approximately monthly updates from me as we make progress through production.

In the meantime, if you want more The Time We Have in your life, I highly recommend checking out any of the 8 available actual plays on the Media section of the campaign (plus one more coming this Wednesday from my friends at Tales Yet Told!). Also, the public demo will remain available until the full digital release of the game so if you have yet to try that out, that might hold you over while we make the full game.

Pre-Order Store

If you or someone you know missed out on the campaign, the pre-order store is now live!

Thank you so much again. More soon!
-Elliot

p.s.

I will be at PAX Unplugged! You can find me selling games at Booth #4318. Come say hello! I'll be the one in the pink "TTRPG" hat.

I am having a holiday sale where you can get 10% OFF all of my physical and digital games!

Final Days! - Stretch Goals
9 days ago – Mon, Nov 25, 2024 at 10:15:32 AM

2 MORE DAYS!

The end is in sight on this campaign. If you have already backed, thank you so much for your support! Thanks to you all, we have reached our goal and crushed our first stretch goal. But there are still 3 more goals I would love to see us hit!

STRETCH GOALS

Here is where we stand right now. PLUS we've just revealed the pair of contributors for the $22,500 goal: Zach Cox & Max Beech!

The $25,000 goal is one I would especially love to hit. It means the world to pay artists as part of this project and I would love to be able to throw them all a bit more money for the excellent work they've done.

These final days are key to a strong finish to the crowdfunding so please please share the project with a friend, shout it out to your gaming community, and help us spread the word.

That's all for now! You will probably hear from me one more time before the campaign ends.

And again, thank you!

One Week to Go!
14 days ago – Wed, Nov 20, 2024 at 09:38:40 AM

One Week Left

There are just 7 more days of funding left. We are so close to our first stretch goal! With this final push, I once again humbly ask that you share this project with your friends! Who are you most excited to play with?

New Treats for your Ears

This week there are two new listens that I would love to share with you:

Part 2 of the One Shot series of The Time We Have is now available. In this episode, Dillin and I conclude our story and it is DEVASTATING. Highly recommend.

I sat down with Nathan from Reckless A-Talk for a real joy of a conversation about my journey in games, living an artistic life, and The Time We Have. I think there is a lot of good stuff in here for anyone who is on a journey to make their life more creative or who just likes to make things.

And as a reminder, there are currently 6 other actual plays and 3 other interviews for you to check out in the Media section of the campaign. Lots of great stuff in there.

Stretch Goals

We are so very close to our first of 3 bonus Door Card stretch goals. At $17,500, Felix Isaacs of The Wildsea joins as a guest writer along with illustrator B Marsollier of Planet Arcana. Once we hit that goal, I'll be excited to share who our contributors for the $20,000 goal are!

Thank you so much for being a part of this project! It has meant so much to watch this game connect with so many of you and I can't wait to make it.

-Elliot

p.s. I am now on Bluesky! It's going to probably be the main place to keep up with all of my work

FUNDED!
22 days ago – Tue, Nov 12, 2024 at 07:05:49 AM

WE DID IT!

The Time We Have is officially 100% fully funded which means it is HAPPENING! I can confidently say we are going to make this game and it is going to be beautiful. A massive thank you to everyone who backed the project, shared with friends, shouted it out on socials, played the demo—it couldn't have happened without you!

A very special thank you to my friends who supported me and believed in this project before I did. I love you all very much.

And finally, a massive thank you to the incredibly talented group of actual play productions that have helped bring the game to life. You can currently hear seven different tragically beautiful stories in the Media section of the campaign (with a couple more to come!).

Stretch Goals!

Now that we've hit our base goal, it's time to start looking towards our stretch goals! The first three are for additional "Door Cards" written and illustrated by some incredibly talented folks.

When we hit Felix and B's stretch goal, I'll reveal who will join us at $20,000!

$25,000 is a stretch goal that I always want to hit in any project I crowdfund—"Everyone gets a raise". Paying people to make art is one of my great joys in publishing/designing and if I can raise the rates of our contributors, I'll be very happy.

Once again, thank you so much for helping me make this very personal game into a reality. I can't wait to get it into your hands!

More soon,

Elliot

p.s.

Pico from my friends at Mythworks is now live! Play as tiny bugs riding cats in a very big world. (you might even hear a familiar voice in their trailer)

Today is the first day of Mothership Month and I have two friends who are making some very sick supplements:
OMENDROME - Exploitation Film Subjects for Mothership
DOG EAT DOG - a body horror prison break campaign setting with lots of dogs for Mothership

95%! Plus a One Shot one shot
23 days ago – Mon, Nov 11, 2024 at 11:03:35 AM

HOME STRETCH

We are less than $700 and 5% to our funding goal. If you've been thinking about backing, today is a perfect day to do so! As always, if you'd like to help us get there, tell a friend who you think would love the game!

A One Shot one shot

I had the beautiful opportunity to play with my friend Superdillin on his show, One Shot. This was not only a really special play experience and a story I am proud we got to tell together but also a full circle moment for me as a designer. One Shot was one of the first ways I discovered non-dnd TTRPGs back in 2020, listening to their series of Sleepaway, Visigoths v. Mall Goths, and Kids on Bikes. To now have my own game on that feed is surreal in the best way.

Today's episode is part 1 of 2, stay tuned next week for the conclusion to our story!

More Very Soon

With the hope and feeling that we will hit our goal soon, I'm excited to share more about our stretch goals and other shows coming out during the rest of the campaign. Expect to hear more from me very soon!

-Elliot

P.S. - Other projects you should support:

A Fool's Errand is in their final days of funding and SO close to their goal. Let's help push them across the finish line!

Transgender Deathmatch Legend II has just crossed their finish line and has some very exciting stretch goals to knock out. We also have just released an episode of Talk of the Table with Kayla where you can hear more about this kickass game.
